Vista Sucks April 18, 2008

Vista takes such a tediously long amount of time to install. And 3 reboots? Why? When you install Mac OS X, you install it, 20 mins max, and you’re done. Your mac is now useable. But not with windows, oh no. You wait 40 minutes for it to bugger about, with it giving you no indication of what it’s doing, or even how long it will be doing it for. Then, it reboots, buggers about a bit, then reboots, then buggers about a bit. And then you’re left to your own devices, and have to install all the drivers required to make things work.

What, in the name of all that may or may not be holy, is that funny translucent window thing all about? It looks like everything is set in frosted glass, its ridiculous, obtrusive, and annoying. It in no way lends itself to nice integration, because all the windows look like their contents is embedded in glass, there is no smooth transition between contents and frame. It’s just content BAM frame. In your face, and very ugly.

This new blog theme reminds me of BeOS. Ah, the good old days.
