About

Hi, I’m Zane. Welcome to Infinite Regression.

This is, for want of a better word, an anonymous blog. All names/places have been altered so as not to give away my identity/location. Zane, is my alter ego. My alias. My guilt free, random, ranting, pseudonym.

Zane was created after a previous blog of mine was hammered with insults and grumpy comments because I was, well… too honest. That is a flaw of mine. I’m very honest, but I’m also very polite, which means I can’t say these things to people’s faces. So I wrote them on my blog instead. People didn’t like that. I wasn’t offensive, I just told the truth. I pointed out things that people had done or said, in ways that hadn’t occured to them. Pointed out how rude and uncaring THEY had been, possibly without even realising.

Suddenly, after the influx of angry visitors, it occured to me. Why can’t I be honest without mentioning names? Infinite regression is the result. Infinite regression is when a single point cannot be proved without proving a supporting point, which in turn cannot be proved without a supporting point, and so on. This blog is much like that. None of it can be proved. I have two modes, me mode, and Zane mode. Split personalities as it were. When I’m in Zane mode all internet access is routed through Tor, and cannot be traced, and I use Portable Firefox, which is not kept on my computer, but on an encrypted external drive. Overkill, yes, I know, but the whole point of this blog is that it’s anonymous, and it STAYS that way.

I am quite ill, and as such can rarely leave the house. Because of this, shortly after starting the blog, I realised that this new pseudonym of mine could in essence, return to me some semblance of a social life, and as such, Zane can be found on various forums around the internet.

I am Zane.
